Brad Wilfred Schlegel (born July 22, 1968 in Kitchener, Ontario) is a Canadian former ice hockey defenceman.
Drafted in 1988 by the Washington Capitals, he also played briefly for the Calgary Flames. Schlegel also played for the Canadian National Team for many years, and was part of the Canadian Men's Hockey Teams that played in the 1992 and 1994 Winter Olympic Games, and won the Silver Medal both times.
He played junior hockey with the London Knights from 1986-88. In 1988 Schlegel joined the Canadian national men's hockey team. He played there for four years, including the 1992 Olympics.
Schlegel then spent three seasons in the pros, icluding the Capitals and Flames. He could not stick as a regular with either NHL team.
In 1994 he returned to the Canadian national men's hockey team for the 1994 Olympics.
In 1995, Schlegel began playing professional hockey in Austria and Germany. He continued in these two countries until his retirement in 2007.
