Bob Jay (born November 18, 1965 in Burlington, Massachusetts) is a professional defenceman. He played 3 games for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League in 1993-94, scoring 1 assist.

Jay played for Merrimack College from 1984 to 1988. He was not drafted by any NHL team.

He played as a professional from 1990 to 2002, mostly with the Fort Wayne Komets and the Detroit Vipers. Jay was also an assistant coach for various teams, most notably Harvard University from 2004 to 2007.

He retired in 2002 after playing for the Manchester Monarchs.
