Robert George Hess (born May 19, 1955, in Edmonton, Alberta) is a former professional ice hockey defenceman. He was drafted in the second round, 26th overall, by the St. Louis Blues in the 1974 NHL Amateur Draft. He played in the National Hockey League with the Blues, Buffalo Sabres, and Hartford Whalers. Between 1982 and 1984 he also played for the Swiss teams HC Lugano and EHC Kloten.
In his NHL career, Hess appeared in 329 games. He scored 27 goals and added 95 assists.
