The Bob Gassoff Trophy was awarded by the Central Hockey League to the most improved defenceman. It was first awarded in the 1977-78 season and continued until the league's demise in 1983-84.

It was named after St. Louis Blues defenceman Bob Gassoff, who had died at the age of 24 in 1977 in a motorcycle accident.
