Robert (Bob) Allison Carse (born July 19, 1919 in Edmonton, Alberta - died July 27, 1999) was a professional ice hockey forward who played 165 games in the National Hockey League. He played for the Chicago Blackhawks and Montreal Canadiens.

He played junior hockey for the Edmonton Athletic Club from 1935 to 1939 and then turned pro in 1939-40 with the Providence Reds. Carse split the next four seasons between the Chicago Black Hawks and the minor pros.

He was in the Canadian military for two years (1943 to 1945) and played for the senior Calgary Currie Army team in 1943-44. In 1944, Carse was shot in the shoulder and captured by German forces. After 6 months of marching from camp to camp, Carse had lost 60 pounds from malnutrition.[1] After returning from Europe, his rights were traded from the Black Hawks to the Canadiens.

After World War II Carse played for his hometown senior Edmonton Flyers in 1945-46 and then joined the Cleveland Barons the following season. The Montreal Canadiens called him up for 22 games in 1947-48 when he scored 3 goals and 3 assists.

In the NHL Carse played in 167 games and scored 32 goals and 55 assists.

Carse was inducted into the Cleveland Sports Hall of Fame in 1976 for his on-ice career with the Cleveland Barons, service as an AHL Linesman and the organization of the Parma Hockey Program.[2] He was also inducted into the Cleveland Barons Hall of Fame (1971). His brother Bill Carse also played in the NHL.
