The Blackfalds Sr Wranglers were a Senior AA men's hockey team based out of Blackfalds , Alberta. The Wranglers were a member of the North Central Hockey League (Alberta) , having relocated from Sylvan Lake in the fall of 2019, where they were previously the Sylvan Lake Pirates , playing their home games out of Bentley. The Wranglers played their home games out of the Blackfalds Multiplex .
In September 2021, the Blackfalds Wranglers announced that they would be taking a one year leave of absence due to issues surrounding the Covid-19 regulations.
On April 29, 2022 the team notified the league that they would not be returning to the league for the 2022-23 season and indicating that the team will cease operations due to a lack of executive for the organization.[1]
