The Binghamton Black Bears are a minor league professional ice hockey team located in Binghamton, New York and play in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. Their home games are played at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena
On May 12, 2021 the Federal Prospects Hockey League announced the addition of the Binghamton Black Bears as expansion team for the 2021-22 season. The team replaces the former Binghamton Devils of the American Hockey League, who moved to Utica, New York after the 2020-21 season, as the main tenant in the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. The team is owned by Andreas Johansson who is also the owner of the Watertown Wolves of the FPHL. [1]
On June 3rd, 2021 the team announced its' logo and colors.[2]
