William Ian McKenzie (born March 12, 1949 in St. Thomas, Ontario) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who played for the Detroit Red Wings, Kansas City Scouts, and Colorado Rockies in the National Hockey League (NHL).

He played at Ohio State University from 1969 to 1972 and then, undrafted, was signed as a free agent by the Detroit Red Wings. McKenzie turned pro with the Port Huron Flags in 1972-73 and was named International League rookie-of-the-year.

He got some playing time with the Wings in 1973-74 and 1974-75 but they decided to go with Jim Rutherford and Roy Edwards. McKenzie was traded to the Kansas City Scouts in 1975.

McKenzie saw more ice time with the Scouts and their successor the Colorado Rockies but did not do well with the weak expansion team.

He retired in 1980 after playing 91 NHL games.
