William Orser Holmes (b. March 9, 1899 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba - d. March 14, 1961) is a former ice hockey centre. He played in the NHL for the Montreal Canadiens and the New York Americans.

He played senior hockey for the Brandon team in 1921-22, 1922-23, and 1923-24. In 1924-25 he turned pro with the Edmonton Eskimos.

Holmes played for the Montreal Canadiens in 1925-26 after being released by the New York Americans. He spent two seasons in the minors before rejoining the Americans in 1929-30. Holmes then stayed in the minors until he retired in 1936.
