The Bemidji Sports Arena was an indoor arena located in Bemidji, Minnesota. The arena served as home to the Bemidji State Beavers men's hockey team from 1947 to 1950.
The arena was not originally intended to be a hockey rink. The arena suffered from poor sight lines and seating issues as well as being an undersized ice surface.
The arena was the sit of a near tragedy on January 4, 1949 when at 2:20PM when the arena's roof collapsed due to structural failure. Several children were skating on the ice surface when the beams and timbers began falling. Some how the children escaped the falling debris.
The team would continue to use the arena for another year before the program was discontinued for a nine year period from 1950 to 1959. The team would return to the ice in 1959-60 playing out of the outdoor 17th Street Rink which was located on the Bemidji HIgh School Athletic field
