The Beavers Ice Hockey Club was one of the founding members of the Scottish Ice Hockey Association in 1909-1910.[1] They played a "house league" competition at Crossmyloof Ice Rink against the few other clubs in existence at the time.
The club had one player, J.D. Strathearn, play for the Scottish National Team in two international matches against England, played in March and December, 1910. The English won the first meeting 11-1, but the Scots triumphed 8-3 in the second.
Streathearn scored the lone goal in the first match and five of the eight Scottish tallies in the latter fixture.[2]
