Barbara Ann Scott Arena

The Barbara Ann Scott Arena is an indoor arena locatd in Ottawa, Ontario. The arena is home to the Ottawa West Golden Knights of the Central Canada Hockey League Tier 2.

The arena is named in honour of Barbara Ann Scott who was a gold medalist figure skater at the 1948 Winter Olympics and she also won two world championships, becoming the first Canadian female to win either.  She was one of eight Canadians to carry the Olympic Flag into BC Place for the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, British Columbia.  She passed away on Semptember 30, 2012.  She also has an outdoor rink in the College Park section of Toronto (the Barabara Ann Scott Ice Rink) named after her.
