Hockey Manitoba awards the Provincial Junior B Champions the Baldy Northcott Trophy. The Champions represent Manitoba at the Western Canadian Junior B Championship for the Keystone Cup.
Until 2018, HM awarded the Provincial Junior B Championship to the winner of the Keystone Junior Hockey League which had been the case since the collapse of the Northwest Junior Hockey League in 2004. The KJHL had its' southern teams withdraw to form the Capital Region Junior Hockey League. The break up was far from amicable and the two leagues have yet to have a series to determine a provincial Junior B champion.
The Trophy was first awarded in 1940 to the Portage Terriers.
