
The Baffin Blizzard are a Junior C team from Iqaluit, Nunavut. The team plays under the Hockey North governing body which oversees ice hockey in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories and Hockey Nunavut. The team is one of Junior C two teams in Nunavut. The team plays the Kivalliq Canucks in a series for the territory championship and a spot in the Maritime-Hockey North Junior C Championship.
The team was previously known as Team Baffin, Qikiqtani Elks, and Qikiqtani Sharks.
The team won the 2009 Hockey Nunavut Junior championship the (Challenge Cup) and competed in the 2009 Maritime-Hockey North Junior C Championships held in Barrington Passage, Nova Scotia where they finished with a 1-2-0 record in the round robin portion of the tournament and losing to eventual champion Barrington Ice Dogs in the semifinal round 5-3.
The team was renamed the Baffin Blizzard and went on to become the first Hockey North representative to win the Maritime-Hockey North Junior C Championship when they won the 2015 tournament.
