The Atlantic Hockey Best Defenseman is awarded each season in the Atlantic Hockey college hockey league.
The leagues' predecessor, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference offered a Defensive Player of the Year award, all of which were given to defensemen. From 2004 until 2007, the award was known as the Atlantic Hockey Best Defensive Defenseman.
