Arthur "Art" Chapman (May 27, 1906 – December 31, 1962) was a Canadian forward. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Chapman started his National Hockey League career with the Boston Bruins in 1930. He also played for the New York Americans and retired after the 1940 season. In 1938, he was a member of the NHL All-Star Team.

He played junior hockey with the Winnipeg Tammany Tigers in 1923-24. He also played senior hockey for various teams in Manitoba and the Thunder Bay region, winning the Allan Cup with Port Arthur in 1925-26.

Chapman turned pro with the Springfield Indians in 1927-28 and played two seasons with the Providence Reds from 1928-30.

He played three and a half seasons with the Bruins and six and a half with the Americans. He was an excellent play maker and defensive specialist, scoring 62 goals and 176 assists in 438 NHL games played. He twice led the NHL in assists, with 34 in the 1934–35 New York Americans season and 28 in the 1935–36 New York Americans season.

He retired from the NHL in 1940 and spent two years with the New York Americans management. He made a short comeback with the Buffalo Bisons in 1942-43 before retiring.

Chapman went on to coach the Bisons and the Vancouver Canucks (WHL). He won the Calder Cup in 1943-44 with the Bisons.
