Anton Khudobin (Russian: Антон Худобин; born May 7, 1986 in Ust-Kamenogorsk, U.S.S.R.) is a Kazakh professional ice hockey goaltender who plays for the Minnesota Wild in the National Hockey League.

Playing careerEdit

Khudobin started his career in Kazakhstan, but came over to Russia at a young age and joined the hockey school of Metallurg from Magnitogorsk. The young goalie has been a consistent starter for Russia's U18 and U20 national teams, earning silver medals at the 2005 and 2006 IIHF World U20 Championship. He also became a backup for HC Metallurg before deciding to leave for North America and play in the Canadian junior leagues. During the summer of 2007 he signed a deal with the Minnesota Wild and spent the following season splitting his time between the AHL's Houston Aeros and the ECHL's Texas Wildcatters, earning top ECHL goaltender honors.
