

Annapolis is the state capital of Maryland. The city is located along Chesapeake Bay about halfway between Baltimore (25 miles/40km to the north) and Washington, DC about 30 miles/50km to the south) The city had a population of 38,394 as of the 2010 US Census.
The city is home to the United States Naval Academy. The academy presently offers men's and women's ice hockey (added for 2015-16) at the club level. The teams are based out of the McMullen Hockey Arena located on the campus of the school and opened in 2007.
The Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (also on the campus of the Naval Academy) is hosting an NHL Stadium Series game on March 3, 2018 between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Washington Capitals.
