Andrew Orpik (born March 3, 1986 in East Amherst, New York) is an American professional ice hockey player.
After spending the 2004–05 season at Thayer Academy, he was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres 227th overall in the 7th round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He played four seasons at Boston College and graduated with a degree in Marketing.
Orpik was not signed to an entry level contract by the Sabres, causing the release of his rights. On August 25, 2009 Orpik signed with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL. Orpik currently plays for the Las Vegas Wranglers, which is a Phoenix Coyotes affiliated ECHL team.[1]
He is the brother of Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Brooks Orpik.
