The American Junior Hockey League was a junior hockey league based in the United States. It was founded in the summer of 1977 with the vice-president of the professional American Hockey League, Gordon Anziano, serving as president. The league operated for two years, folding after the 1978-79 season.
Seven teams played in the league in 1977-78: Assabet Valley Tomahawks, Beverly Flyers, South Shore Clippers, Maine Junior Nordiques, Mass-Conn Twins, Western Massachusetts Pioneers, Framingham Pics.
