Amanda Parkins is a women’s ice hockey player with the Guelph Gryphons.



On December 14, 2008, she had the opportunity to compete in an exhibition game of CWHL All-Stars vs. NHL Alumni. Along with Parkins, other Barracudas included Becky Kellar, Jana Harrigan, Lindsay Vine and Tania Pinelli.[1] On December 4, 2009, Parkins returned to the lineup after suffering an injury to her hand during exhibition play. She logged two goals as the Barracudas prevailed over the Vaughan Flames by a 5-2 tally. [2]


On January 26, Parkins logged two power play goals and two assists in a 7-2 triumph over the No. 6 ranked Queens Golden Gaels. It marked the eleventh consecutive win for the Gryphons.[3] She logged 43 points and 19 goals to lead all skaters in OUA. In addition, she finished the season third overall in the CIS scoring race. The Gryphons finished with a 21-3-2 regular season record.
