Alexander Pallestrang (born on April 4, 1990 in Bregenz) is an Austrian professional ice hockey player with the EC Salzburg of the ICEHL.[1]
Club career[]
Pallestrang began playing junior hockey in the 2004-05 season with the EHC Hard organisation. In 2005, Pallestrang moved to the VEU Feldkirch organisation and made his senior debut during the 2006-07 season when he played 8 regular season games and 2 play-off games with the VEU Feldkirch of the Nationalliga while he also played 17 games with the VEU Feldkirch under-20 team. In this season, Pallestrang became the Nationalliga champion with the VEU Feldkirch.
In the 2007-08 season played Pallestrang 15 regular season games and 4 play-off games with the VEU Feldkirch of the Nationalliga and 12 regular season games and 3 play-off games with the VEU Feldkirch udner-20 team.
In 2008, Pallestrang moved to the EHC Linz organisation. In the 2008-09 season played Pallestrang 26 regular season games and 2 play-off games with the EHC Linz under-20 team, 12 regular season games and 2 play-off games with the EHC Linz II of the Austrian Oberliga and 22 regular season games and 3 play-off games with the EHC Linz of the EBEL.
In the 2009-10 season, Pallestrang played 39 regular season games and 17 play-off games with the EHC Linz of the EBEL, 4 games with the EHC Linz under-20 team and 2 games with the EHC Linz II of the Austrian Oberliga.
Since 2010, Pallestrang is playing with the EC Salzburg of the EBEL (since 2020-21 ICEHL). In the 2010-11 season, Pallestrang played besides 25 regular season games and 12 play-off games with the EC Salzburg of the EBEL also 22 games with the EC Salzburg II of the Nationalliga and in the 2011-12 season, he played besides 39 regular season games and 6 play-off games with the EC Salzburg of the EBEL also 6 games with the RB Hockey Juniors. In 2011, 2015 and 2016, Pallestrang became the EBEL champion with the EC Salzburg and in 2011, he also won the 2011 European Trophy with the EC Salzburg. He is currently signed with the EC Salzburg of the ICEHL until the end of the 2020-21 season.
International career[]
Pallestrang participated with the Austrian National Team at the 2008 World U18 Championship Division I (winning there bronze), 2009 World Junior Championship Division I (winning there gold), 2010 World Junior Championship, 2015[2] and 2019 World Championships and at the 2016 World Championship Division IA (being there the most penalized player (25 PIM)).
