Alexa Ranahan (born November 8, 1995) is a women's ice hockey player that has attended the training camp for the Canadian National Women's Under 18 team.

Playing career[]

Ranahan served as alternate captain of her Silvertips Bantam AA boys’ team. She also represented B.C. at the 2008 IIHF Skills Challenge in Québec

OHA[]

At the Okanagan Hockey Academy, her head coach is former Winter Games gold medalist Gina Kingsbury. During the 2011-12 season, she was an alternate captain and led OHA to second place in the Canadian Sport School Hockey. In addition, she led all OHA defenders in scoring, while helping the club claim a silver medal at the Notre Dame Female Hockey Showcase.

She would play on the Canada national women's ice hockey team at the 2013 IIHF Women's World Championship.

She would be a member of the Ohio State Buckeyes women's ice hockey team for 2014-15 and 2015-16.
