Alan Kerr (born March 28, 1964 in Hazelton, British Columbia, Canada) is a retired Canadian ice hockey forward. He is currently the head coach and general manager of the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL.

Kerr started his National Hockey League career with the New York Islanders in 1984. He also played for the Detroit Red Wings and Winnipeg Jets. He retired after the 1993 season.

He played junior for the Seattle Breakers and was chosen 84th overall by the New York Islanders in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft.

Kerr turned pro in 1984-85 and split two seasons between the Islanders and the Springfield Indians. He became an Islanders regular in 1986.

The Islanders were in transition at this time, starting to lose the veterans of their Stanley Cup years 1980-84. Kerr fit in nicely and played four solid seasons for them.

He lost his spot in 1990-91. Trades to the Detroit Red Wings and the Winnipeg Jets did not help and Kerr retired in 1993.
