Adam Jánošík (born on September 7, 1992, in Spišská Nová Ves) is a Slovak defenceman currently playing with the BK Mladá Boleslav of the Tipsport Extraliga. He was selected 72nd overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Club career[]

Jánošík began his junior career with the Bílí Tygři Liberec organisation. In 2009 - 2012, he played with the Gatineau Olympiques of the QMJHL (last season as the team's captain).

He made his senior debut in the 2012-13 season when he played 34 regular season games, 1 relegation game and 9 Tipsport Extraliga qualification games with the Bílí Tygři Liberec of the Tipsport Extraliga and 21 regular season games and 2 relegation games with their farm team, the HC Benátky nad Jizerou of the 1. Liga.

In the 2013-14 season played Jánošík 5 games with the Bílí Tygři Liberec of the Tipsport Extraliga and 27 regular season games and 6 play-off games with the HC Benátky nad Jizerou of the 1. Liga.

The following season spent Jánošík with the HC Košice of the Slovak Tipsport Extraliga. In this season, he became the Slovak champion.

In the 2015-16 season played Jánošík with the Piráti Chomutov of the Czech Tipsport Extraliga.

After that, Jánošík returned to the Bílí Tygři Liberec of the Czech Tipsport Extraliga for next two seasons.

In the 2018-19 season, Jánošík played with the HC Slovan Bratislava of the KHL.

Jánošík then began the 2019-20 season with the HC Litvínov of the Czech Tipsport Extraliga, but after 37 games played, he was traded to the HC Plzeň of the Czech Tipsport Extraliga just a few days before the trade deadline. He finished there the season with 15 games played.

In the 2020-21 season played Jánošík with the IK Oskarshamn of the SHL.

In 2021, Jánošík signed a one-year contract with the BK Mladá Boleslav of the Czech Tipsport Extraliga.

International career[]

Jánošík played with the Slovak National Team at the 2009 World U18 Championship, 2011 and 2012 World Junior Championships and at the 2015, 2017 and 2018 World Championships.
