Overview
The provincial college champions from each of the four provinces in Western Canada played in the annual 4-West Championship from 1972 to 1980 (9 tournaments). Once the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) started hosting a national championship, this event was used to determine the west's regional representative in the CCAA nationals.
