This is the 2023-24 United Collegiate Hockey Conference season. This is the conference's seventh season.
Membership Changes[]
- The Hood Blazers based in Frederick, Maryland were to be added to the conference for the 2024-25 season, but would end up joining the Middle Atlantic Conference when it announces its' intent to become a stand alone conference.
- The members of the Middle Atlantic Conference will seperate from the United Collegiate Hockey Conference starting with the 2024-25 season, as the conference will reach the minimum number of teams require to receive an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The addition of the Misericordia Cougars in the men's conference and the Hood Blazers women's ice hockey team to the women's conference will give both the men's and women's conferences the minimum required amount. The league will work on a regular season conference schedule and post season confernence tournment.[1] This will remove the Alvernia Golden Wolves, Arcadia Knights, King's College Monarchs, Lebanon Valley Flying Dutchmen, and Stevenson Mustangs.
- Shortly after the MAC's annnouncement the conference announced the addition of the Brockport Golden Eagles and the Geneseo Ice Knights to the men's conference for the 2024-25 season.[2] No mention was made of any replacements in the women's conference. However, the conference will still have the required minimum of 6 playing members to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Tournament.
- On May 15, 2024 the United Collegiate Hockey Conference announced the addition of Albertus Magnus Falcons (men's and women's). Elmira Soaring Eagles (men's and women's), Hilbert Hawks (women's), and the newly formed programs of St. John Fisher Cardinals (men's and women's) to the conference for the 2025-26 season.[3]
