This is the 2024-25 New England Hockey Conference Women's hockey season. This will be the conference's last season as most if not all members are joining new conferences for 2025-26.
Membership Changes[]
- On December 9, 2022 the New England Hockey Conference announced that the Albertus Magnus women's ice hockey team will be added to the conference (along with the men's team) for the 2024-25 season.[1]
- On March 30, 2023 the New England Hockey Conference announced the addition of the the Salve Regina Seahawks men's ice hockey team and the Salve Regina Seahawks women's ice hockey team to the conference for the 2024-25 playing season. Both teams presently compete in the Commonwealth Coast Conference[2]
- On February 13, 2024 the New England Pilgrims men's ice hockey team and New England Pilgrims women's ice hockey team were announced as being added to the Little East Conference when each conference begins play with the 2025-26 playing season. The addition of the women's team enabled the conference to also start sponsoring women's ice hockey when it begins play with the 2025-26 season[3]
- On April 10, 2024 the State University of New York Athletic Conference announced the addtion of the Hobart Statesmen men's ice hockey team, as well as the William Smith Herons women's ice hockey team, and the Skidmore Thoroughbreds men's ice hockey team to the conference for the 2025-26 season. All of the teams would be joining the league from the New England Hockey Conference.[4]
- On May 15, 2024 the United Collegiate Hockey Conference announced the addition of Albertus Magnus Falcons (men's and women's). Elmira Soaring Eagles (men's and women's), Hilbert Hawks (women's), and the newly formed programs of St. John Fisher Cardinals (men's and women's) to the conference for the 2025-26 season.[5]
- On May 19, 2024 it was announced that the Norwich Cadets women's ice hockey team would be joining the Little East Conference as an affiliate member for women's ice hockey.[6]
- The Plymouth State Panthers are leaving for the newly formed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's league for 2024-25.
- The Salem State Vikings are leaving for the newly formed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women's league for 2024-25. They are playing all of the MASCAC teams as non-conference games in 2024-25.

Conference Tournament[]
Format[]
The top 8 teams qualify for the single elimination conference tournament. All rounds are held at the rink of the higher seeded team. The conference tournament winner earns the conference's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey Tournament.
