
This is the 2024-25 Eastern Hockey League season. This is the league's 12th season after it was formed by the merger of the Atlantic Junior Hockey League and six members of the Eastern Junior Hockey League.
Membership Changes[]
- On January 25, 2024 the Northeast Generals organization of the North American Hockey League announced they would be merging with the Bridgewater Bandits and that the Bandits teams will be rebranded as the Northeast Generals for the 2024-25 season.[1] The team would end up retaining the Bridgewater Bandits name.
- On May 6, 2024 the league announced the sale of Team Maryland to the Boston Hockey Academy. The team will be based out of the Breakaway Ice Center in Tewksbury, Massachusetts and they will be known as the Boston Dukes.[2]
- On June 19, 2024 the United States Premier Hockey League announced that the Boston Jr. Rangers and the Railers Jr. Hockey Club will both be joining the USPHL's NCDC and Premier leagues along with icing a combined team in the Elite league as the two teams have shared ownership in AXE Sports Group, Inc. Both organizations had been playing in the Eastern Hockey League. [3]
- On June 25, 2024, the USPHL announced that the Seacoast Spartans would be leaving the Eastern Hockey League and joining the National Collegiate Hockey Conference for the 2024-25 season.[4]
- The Boston Jr. Eagles who were originally intended to join the league for 2023-24 join the league for the 2024-25 season.
- On July 15, 2024, the EHL announced the sale, renmaing, and relocation of the Connecticut Chiefs teams in the EHL and EHL Premier Leagues. The team is moving to the International Skating Center of Connecticut in Simsbury, Connecticut and the team will be renamed the Connecticut Nor'Easter.[5]
- The Providence Hockey Club is renamed the Providence Capitals.[6]
- On November 11, 2024 the USPHL announced the addtion of the Boston Jr. Terriers renamed the Boston Dogs to the National Collegiate Development Conference for the 2025-26 season.[7] As a result of the team announcing they change of leagues the Eastern Hockey League had determined that the organization had breached their multi-year contract with the league and suspended the team from league play until the breach was cured.[8] As a result of the action by the EHL the team was added to the NCDC effective immediately.[9]

Playoffs[]
The top four teams in each division qualify. The division semifinals and division finals are best-of-three. The four teams that qualify for the Regional Finals are paired into two best of three series. The winners meet in the Frozen Final.
