This is the 2023-24 Prince Edward Island Junior C Hockey League season.

The league is renamed the Township Chevrolet Jr Hockey League from the Razzy's Junior Hockey League for sponsorship reasons.

Membership Changes[]

  • None, however a September 28th posting indicated that due to the merger of the Sherwood Metros junior B team with the Kings County Rivermen in the Island Junior Hockey League the league was interested in adding a fifth team to the league based in eastern PEI to give players an additional team to play for while staying on the island.[1]
  • On September 10, 2024 the league announced the addition of the Morell Flyers to the league for the 2024-25 season.[2] The community previously played in the league until folding on Janury 2, 2017.
  • On October 6, 2024 the Sherwood Metros announced that they would be taking a one-year leave of absence for the 2024-25 season.[3]

Note: A February 3rd game between Pownal and Sherwood was cancelled due to weather and was not made up.

Playoffs[]

Format[]

All teams qualify. Fourth plays fifth in a best-of-five series with the winner becoming the fourth seed and playing the first seed and the second seed playing the third seed in the best-of-five semifinals The semifinal winners meet in the final round which is best-of-seven. The playoff champion advances to the 2024 Atlantic Junior C Championships.

The Tignish Aces were to advance to the 2024 Atlantic Junior C Championships. On April 4th the Pownal Ice Dogs were announced as replacing the Tignish Aces as the PEIJHL representative as Tignish was not able to attend the event.
