
This is the 2023-24 Can-Am Junior Hockey League season.
Membership Changes[]
- After the 2022-23 season ended the AMP Warriors started to be labeled as the Calgary Warriors.
- On May 8, 2023 the league announced the addition of an expansion team in Viking, Alberta to be known as the Northern Alberta Lightning and will be based out of the Viking Carena Complex. The team begins play with the 2023-24 season[1]
- Sometime in May 2023 the Calgary Warriors are no longer involved with the league and were removed from the league website.
- On May 23, 2023 the league announced the addition of the Stavely, Alberta based Southern Alberta Mustangs to the league for the 2023-24 season. The team will be based out of the Stavely Arena.[2]
- On June 6, 2023 the league announced the addition of the Vulcan Rampage to the league for the 2023-24 season. The team will be based out of the Vulcan Arena in Vulcan, Alberta.[3]
- On September 11, 2023 the league announced it was disassociating itself with the Northern Alberta Lightning due to the team’s failure to meet their financial commitments and adherence to league governance.[4] On the same day the team was announced as having been involved in a pre-season showcase at their own arena with teams from the National Junior Hockey League the previous weekend.[5] On September 12, 2023 the town of Viking, Alberta announced it had cancelled the user agreement with the team for use of the arena.[6]
- On September 30, 2023 the league announced that the Vulcan Rampage had been "poached" by the National Junior Hockey League (Canada).[7]

The top four teams qualify for the playoffs. The semifinals are best-of-three with the final being best-of-five.

- Hinton Timberwolves defeated Barrhead Bombers 2 games to 1 (6-7, 4-3, 4-2)
- Vegreville Vipers defeated Cold Lake Aeros 2 games to none (7-4, 5-0)
