The 2022 Dudley Hewitt Cup is a tournament that determines the Central Region (Ontario) representative for the 2022 Centennial Cup, which is being held at the Affinity Place in Estevan, Saskatchewan, hosted by the Estevan Bruins of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

The William T. Ruddock Trophy is awarded to the winner of the round robin game between the winner of the round robin game between the Ontario Junior Hockey League and Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League champions. This game doubles as the championship of the Ontario Hockey Federation.

Bid[]

The three leagues that play at the junior A level under the Ontario Hockey Association jurisdiction rotate hosting duties between each league. The 2020 bid being originally awarded to the Wellington Dukes of the Ontario Junior Hockey League was changed as a result of sanctions leveled against the OJHL and its' members for a violation of CJHL policy involving the trading deadline.

On November 18, 2021 it was announced that the Red Lake Miners of the Superior International Junior Hockey League would be hosting the event May 10-14, 2022 at the Cochenour Arena in Red Lake, Ontario.

In the event that the Red Lake Miners win the SIJHL's playoffs, then the losing finalist will qualify as the league representative.
