In 2021, Ryerson University announced it would be renamed due to recognition of Egerton Ryerson's involvement in the residential school system, and current acknowledgement of the latter's adverse effects on indigenous cultures. The school's new name of Toronto Metropolitan University was announced in 2022. The athletic teams would be announced in August of 2022 as being labeled as the Bold.[1]

The league drops from 4 divisons to 2 for the 2022-23 playing season.

Playoffs[]

The top six teams in each division qualify for the playoffs. The playoff rounds are best-of-three. The division final round losers meet for the bronze medal and the division winners meet for the league championship. Both finalist and the bronze medal game winner qualify for the 2023 University Cup being held at the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and being hosted by the Prince Edward Island Panthers.

Carleton Ravens beat Ontario Tech Ridgebacks 2-games-to-none.

Brock Badgers defeated Laurier Golden Hawks 2-games-to-1.'

Toronto Varsity Blues beat TMU Bold 2-games-to-1.

Division Semi-finals[]

UQTR Patriotes beat Carleton Ravens 2-games-to-none.

Concordia Stingers beat McGill Redbirds 2-games-to-none.

Lakehead Thunderwolves beat Toronto Varsity Blues 2-games-to-1.

Windsor Lancers beat Brock Badgers 2-games-to-none.

UQTR Patriotes beat Concordia Stingers 2-games-to-1.

Windsor Lancers beat Lakehead Thunderwolves 2-games-to-1.

Bronze Medal Game[]

The Concordia Stingers win bronze medal.

Queen's Cup Final[]

The UQTR Patriotes win gold medal, the Windsor Lancers win silver medal.

UQTR Patriotes (as conference champion), Windsor Lancers (as runner-up), and Concordia Stingers (as 3rd place team), advanced to the 2023 University Cup Playoffs.
