This is the 2022-23 North Central Hockey League (Alberta) season.

Membership changes[]

In September 2021, the Blackfalds Wranglers announced that they would be taking a one year leave of absence due to issues surrounding the Covid-19 regulations. On April 29, 2022 the team notified the league that they would not be returning to the league for the 2022-23 season and indicating that the team will cease operations due to a lack of executive for the organization.[1]

In late October the Fort Saskatchewan Chiefs would end up having to withdraw for the season due to only having about 11 players for their first game and then having to cancel their home opener due to the flu bug going through the team and then having 11 players for their 3rd game. The balance of the team's games will be recorded as 1-0 forfeit losses with the stats from the games played will count in league statistics. The two games played were 13-2 and 16-1 losses to the Morinville Kings and the Red Deer Rustlers respectively[2]
