
This is the 2022-23 Can-Am Junior Hockey League season.
Membership Changes[]
- On May 5, 2022 the Vernal Oilers were announced as being added as a new member of the United States Premier Hockey League's Premier League's newly formed Northwest Division for the 2022-23 season.
- On March 21, 2022 the league announced the addition of the AMP Warriors who will be based out of the WinSport Arenas at the Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta for the 2022-23 season. The team represents the AMP Hockey Academy.[1]
- The Edmonton Eagles are no longer in the league.[2]
- After the 2022-23 season ended the AMP Warriors started to be labeled as the Calgary Warriors.
- On May 8, 2023 the league announced the addition of an expansion team in Viking, Alberta to be known as the Northern Alberta Lightning and will be based out of the Viking Carena Complex. The team begins play with the 2023-24 season[3]
- Sometime in May 2023 the Calgary Warriors are no longer involved with the league and were removed from the league website.
- On May 23, 2023 the league announced the addition of the Stavely, Alberta based Southern Alberta Mustangs to the league for the 2023-24 season. The team will be based out of the Stavely Arena.[4]
- On June 6, 2023 the league announced the addition of the Vulcan Rampage to the league for the 2023-24 season. The team will be based out of the Vulcan Arena in Vulcan, Alberta.[5]
