The 2021 Keystone Cup was scheduled to be the Western Canada Junior B championship. Previously (back in 2018) teams from British Columbia and Alberta had withdrawn from the event going forward. None of the three remaining leagues that are eligible to participate in the event got anywhere near having a normal playing season. The Keystone Junior Hockey League would never even get their season started. The Lakehead Junior Hockey League would only get in six games in December with the rest of the season being cancelled in late February. The Prairie Junior Hockey League would end up playing about 30 games in November before play would be suspended in late November and the season being cancelled in late November.
