
This is the 2021-22 Ontario University Athletics women's ice hockey season.
Laurentian University would cancel both its men's and women's hockey teams as a result of financial difficulties as the Greater Sudbury-based university.[1]
Ryerson University would be renamed Toronto Metropolitan University in April of 2022 as a result of namesake, Egerton Ryerson, being involved in the establishment Canadian Indian residential school system.[2]

McCaw Cup Playoffs[]
The top 5 teams in each division qualify for the playoffs. Due to time constraints the whole tournament is single elimination. Both finalist qualify for the 2022 U-Sport Women's ice hockey championship to be held March 24-27, 2022 at MacLauchlan Arena on the campus of the University of Prince Edward Island in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

- Queen's Golden Gaels defeated UOIT Ridgebacks 4-2
- Western Ontario Mustangs defeated Windsor Lancers 1-0 (default-COVID-19 protocol related)[3]
