This is the 2021-22 North Eastern Alberta Junior B Hockey League season.
Membership changes[]
- On October 5th, 2020 the Vegreville Rangers announced that they were taking a one year leave of absence "due to Covid-19 pandemic and all the restrictions that come with this pandemic is not financially or operational viable for us to operate this season".[1] No information has been posted if the team is returning or sitting out another year.
- On December 31st, 2021 the Lac La Biche Clippers would announce they were ceasing operations for the remainder of the season with hopes of returning for the 2022-23 season citing a lack of players.[2]

All 6 teams qualify for the playoffs. The league playoff champion, or runner up if Wainwright wins the league playoffs, advances to the 2022 Russ Barnes Trophy.
