This is the 2021-22 season for the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League. This is the first season with the Okanagan Lakers, who joined the league as an independent college transfer team representing the University of British Columbia Okanagan and Okanagan College, both of which are located in Kelowna, British Columbia.[1]
The league said it was also evaluating possible teams from Kamloops (Thompson Okanagan Pioneers) and Chilliwack (Fraser Valley Brigade).[2] The latter two teams were to join the conference for the 2022-23 season. The league announced on February 8, 2022 that it would add the Logan Lake Miners (made up of players from Thompson Rivers University and Nicola Valley Institute of Technology) to replace the Pioneers for the 2022-23 season. The team will be based out of the Logan Lake Recreation Centre in Logan Lake, British Columbia.[3] Here are the navigation shortcuts to other seasons and conferences:

The league revived its playoff format to have all four teams qualify for a three day tournament held March 4-6, 2022 at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre in Burnaby, British Columbia. The tournament is using a page playoff format more traditionally used in curling which would match up the 1 and 2 seeds and the 3 and 4 seeds in the quarter-finals. The winner of the 1 vs 2 game advances directly to the championship game with the loser advancing to the semi-final. In the other quarter-final the loser is eliminated and the winner advances to the semi-final. The semi-final winner advances to the final.
