Alberta Provincials 2020
The 2020 Alberta Senior AAA Playoffs are the provincial qualifier for the 2020 Allan Cup.  Traditionally, the event qualifies the winning team for the McKenzie Cup which is the final qualifier for the Pacific region in qualifying for the Allan Cup.  Due to a lack of teams being registered in British Columbia, the winner of the Alberta Senior playoff will qualify the Allan Cup tournament being held in Dundas and Hamilton, Ontario.

Allan Cup Hockey West was hit with two of its four members withdrawing after the 2018-19 season, the Lacombe Generals and the Rosetown Red Wings both ceased operations.  The Innisfail Eagles and the Stony Plain Eagles will play for the provincial Senior AAA championship.  The two teams played each other several times during the season to prepare for the playoffs.  Both teams played other teams in exhibition games against other teams in the province.  Innisfail won the regular season series 6 games to 1 to earn the home ice advantage for the extra game.

The series along with all hockey played under the sanction of Hockey Canada was suspended until further notice on the evening of March 12th.
