This is the 2020-21 New England Small College Athletic Conference Men's hockey season.

On October 8th the New England Small College Athletic Conference announced the cancellation of all winter sports sponsored by the conference including the men's and women's ice hockey.[1] Teams were allowed to schedule non-conference games.

Membership Changes

  • Bowdoin College announced that their men's and women's hockey teams will not be beginning play until January 1, 2021 at the earliest citing all students not being on campus in the fall and not having the fall or winter sports teams playing during the first semester (September-December) of the 2020-21 academic year.[2]

Conference Tournament

Format

The tournament is single elimination format. The top 8 teams qualify for the tournament. The quarterfinal round matches up 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5. The teams are re-seeded for the semifinals with the top seed playing the bottom seed and the other two teams pairing off. The semifinal winners meet for the conference championship and the conference's automatic bid to the 2020 NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Tournament.
