This is the 2020-21 Canada West Universities Athletic Association Women's ice hockey season.

Delay and Possible Cancellation of 2020-21 season[]

On June 8, 2020 U Sports[1] along with Atlantic University Sport[2], Canada West Universities Athletic Association[3], and Ontario University Athletics[4] all announced that the fall semester athletic competitions were cancelled indicating that ice hockey and other winter sports will not start until January of 2021 and that the situation will be reviewed in a timely manner. Canada West's release set a deadline of October 8th for a decision whether to begin play in January.

On the October 15th Canada West announced that no conference regular season, playoff, or championship events will be staged during the 2020-21 season in men's and women's hockey.[5]

On April 20, 2020 the University of Lethbridge announced due to budget constraints the men's and women's hockey programs would be discontinued.[6]
