This is the 2018-19 New Brunswick Junior Hockey League season. This is the league's 9th season under this name and 10th season overall. The league is a mixed level Junior B and Junior C league as the league came about as the result of the collapse of the New Brunswick Junior C Hockey League in 2011. That league's remaining team, the Hampton Hurricanes moved up to play in the then New Brunswick Junior B Hockey League. Three additional Junior C level teams wanted to join the league for the 2012-13 season and the league was subsequently renamed. With the present set up of the league; the Junior "B" champion advances to the 2019 Don Johnson Memorial Cup and the Junior "C" champion advances to the 2019 Maritime-Hockey North Junior C Championships.
The league plays a limited interlocking schedule with the 4 teams in the Prince Edward Island based Island Junior Hockey League. These games count in both league's standings
