This is the 2018-19 Kootenay International Junior Hockey League season. This was the league's 58th season.
Membership changes[]
- Due to a deadly ammonia leak at the Fernie Memorial Arena, the Fernie Ghostriders played the 2017-18 season out of the Elk Valley Leisure Centre in Sparwood, BC. They return to the Fernie Memorial Arena for 2018-19.

Playoffs[]
Format[]
The top 4 teams in each division qualify for the playoffs. The first two round series are best-of-seven. The semifinal and final series are best of five. The playoff champion advances to the 2019 Cyclone Taylor Cup which is being held at the Rod Brind'Amour Arena in Campbell River, British Columbia hosted by the Campbell River Storm of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League for the provincial Junior B championship.
