This is the 2018-19 Interstate Hockey League season. This is slated to be the league's first season. The league schedule is planned for early December.
Delays[]
As with any start up some miscalculations and corrections are usually needed to get things moving in the right direction.
September 5th Facebook posting[]
The Interstate Hockey League will be making some radical changes.
On September 5th a posting stated "The IHL will be delaying there season until December 2nd and moving 4 teams to Fraser Hockeyland while the 2 Blue Water area teams will play at McMorran or Glacier Pointe in Port Huron."
The season will still consist of 20 regular season games. The changes where made to restrict travel and to assist with recruiting.
September 26th Facebook posting[]
The league's Facebook page had a posting that "some things had changed to make sure we can take the ice and we can play." By this point the league list the Canton Wolfpack, Hadley Nepessings, Macomb Hurons, and Rochester Vipers on the Facebook page as members.
Season Cancellation[]
In light of what happened with the USA Central Hockey League rushing to get the league going for 2018-19 and collapsing in short order and the death of a team owner league commissioner Drake Mackenzie decided to delay the start of the league until the 2019-20 season.
