This is the 2018-19 Eastern Hockey League season. This is the league's sixth season after it was formed by the merger of the Atlantic Junior Hockey League and six members of the Eastern Junior Hockey League.
The league announced a 46 game schedule for each team that will begin on September 8, 2018 and finish with the EHL Frozen Finals to be held March 21-24, 2019 at the Schneider Arena on the campus of Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island
Membership Changes[]
- At the end of the 2017-18 the EHL franchises affiliated with the Connecticut Oilers organization were sold and then relocated to the Newington Arena in Newington, Connecticut. The organization would withdraw prior to the start of the season.
- On April 12, 2018 the newly established Maryland Black Bears of the North American Hockey League established an affiliated team to be based out of their home arena, the Piney Orchard Ice Arena in Odenton, Maryland. The EHL team would be named Team Maryland on May 8, 2018.
- The North Carolina Golden Bears were announced as a new member, they will be based out of the Garner Ice House in Garner, North Carolina
- The Lehigh Valley Jr. Rebels and New Jersey 87's who already had teams playing in the lower level 19U and Premier Divisions respectively add second teams to play in the higher level league
- The Charleston Mariners were originally announced as an expansion team for the 2018-19 season. On May 16, 2018 the team had announced on its website that it would participate at the Junior A level in 2019-20 and that the timing is not appropriate for a 2018-19 start date.
- Tthe New York Bobcats Royals are no longer listed on the league website.
- The Lehigh Valley Jr. Rebels were removed from the league in early December for using an over-aged player.[1]

EHL Frozen Finals Playoffs[]
Format[]
The top six teams in each conference will qualify for the playoffs. The two division champions earn the 1 and 2 seeds plus a first round bye. The three seed plays the six seed and the four seed plays the five seed in a best-of-three series. Teams will be re-seeded and the one seed will play the four seed and the two seed will play the three seed in a best-of-three series. The four second round winners will advance to the Frozen Finals. The Frozen Finals will be held March 21st through 23th at Schneider Arena on the campus of Providence College. The last four teams will participate in a round robin tournament with a title game being held on March 24th.
