The 2018–19 Chicago Blackhawks season was the 93rd season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on September 25, 1926.[1] The Blackhawks were eliminated from playoff contention on April 2, 2019, when the Colorado Avalanche defeated the Edmonton Oilers.[2] It is also the first time since the 2006–07 and 2007–08 seasons that the Blackhawks have missed the playoffs in back-to-back seasons.
