Player Death[]

The MacEwan Griffins were hit with the death of 23 year old Nakehko Lamothe, who passed away due to cardiac arrest after a January 25th game in Calgary.[1]  The team captain, Cam Gotaas would present the championship trophy to Nakehos's family when the team won the league playoffs March 24th.[2]
