Brent Patterson Memorial Trophy Playoffs[edit | edit source]

Format[edit | edit source]

The top 8 teams qualify for the playoffs.  All series are best-of-seven.

The playoff champions advance to the 2018 Cyclone Taylor Cup being held in Richmond, British Columbia for the province's Junior B championship. The winner of that tournament earns the right to participate in the 2018 Keystone Cup being held in Thunder Bay, Ontario for the Western Canada Junior B championship. However, the three junior B leagues playing under the authority of BC Hockey have jointly decided to not participate in the Keystone Cup. BC Hockey does not require provincial champions to participate in regional and national championships. Hockey Alberta has also decided as a sanctioning body to not have their provincial champion participate in the Keystone Cup either.
