This is the 2017-18 Rocky Mountain Junior Hockey League season.  This is the league's third season.

Membership Changes[edit | edit source]

  • The Breckenridge Bolts join the league as an expansion team.
  • The Glacier Yetis who were dropped by the league in September of 2016 do not return
  • The Aspen Leafs announced on August 10, 2017 that they would go dormant for the 2017-18 season.
  • By the end of April 2018 the Steamboat Wranglers were announced as joining the Western States Hockey League.  Another unnamed team was also reported to be joining the WSHL and that the RMJHL will likely fold within a few weeks.[1][2]

Playoffs[edit | edit source]

Format[edit | edit source]

The league playoffs consist of a single elimination tournament held among the five teams.  The fourth and fifth place teams meet in the play-in game.  The winner meets the first place team in one of the semifinals and the second and third place teams meet in the other semifinal.  The semifinal winners meet for the league championship.  The tournament will be held March 9-11, 2018 at the Pueblo Ice Arena in Pueblo, Colorado.
